Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Controls Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects, with a focus on logistics, forecasting, and documentation. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset to help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Experience in the oil and gas industry and knowledge of construction operations are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Support project planning and scheduling by maintaining project timelines, resource allocations, and task tracking.

Develop and maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and progress reports.

Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to coordinate material deliveries and equipment mobilization.

Assist in forecasting project costs, timelines, and resource needs; monitor variances and recommend corrective actions.

Monitor contractor performance and support quality control processes.

Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including engineering, construction, vendors, and field personnel.

Ensure document control standards are followed, including digital and physical records management.

Track and report project KPIs, milestones, and financial metrics to project leadership.

Identify and communicate risks or delays, and participate in mitigation planning.

Participate in site visits, inspections, and coordination meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in a project support or coordination role, preferably in construction or oil and gas.

Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Familiarity with logistics planning and material tracking.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with construction in the oil and gas sector (e.g., pipelines, processing facilities, terminals).

Working knowledge of construction documentation systems (e.g., Procore, Aconex, or similar).

PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.

Understanding of construction safety and regulatory requirements.Company Description
