Job Description
We are looking for a Plating Technician who is familiar with chrome, nickel, or cadmium plating. This is a first shift opportunity working Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
Use chemical and conduct lab analysis through simple reactions and work with RCRA and hazardous waste
Understand plating terminology and mask individual pieces for plating operations and shot peen and grit blasting operations
Read simple blueprints and diagrams
Use basic math skills and lift up to 50 pounds
Effectively work in an ever-changing environment with multiple priorities
Maintain all plating records and prepare documentation to process work orders
Apply common sense in carrying out instructions
Keep area clean and well-organized while performing all assigned tasks in a manner consistent with company safety and environmental regulations
Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must have at least 3 years previous Plating, masking individual pieces for plating operations, and Aerospace experience
Must have experience conducting lab analysis through simple reactions, RCRA, hazardous waste, knowledge of shot peen, and grit blasting operations
Must be able to understand current density, surface area, amperage, plating time, and other plating terminology
Previous experience handling chemicals safely is needed
Must have the ability to read simple blueprints and diagrams, use basic math skills, and carry 50 pounds
Must be able to maintain all plating records, prepare documents to process work orders, and apply common sense in carrying out instructions
The ability to maintain a clean, well-organized work area while performing all assigned tasks and following company, safety, and environmental regulations
