Position Summary:
The Loan Processor is responsible for working on bank’s platform designed to handle the end-to-end process of loan origination; from application intake to underwriting, approval, and closing. This position ensures that all necessary documentation is collected, processed, and reviewed in compliance with bank’s lending standards and regulatory compliance. The role serves as a key liaison between loan officers, underwriters, and clients to facilitate timely and efficient loan closings. Loan Processor
Key Responsibilities:
· Loan Documentation Review:
Collect and review all loan documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal and external requirements.
· Application Verification:
Verify borrower income, employment, assets, credit reports, and other relevant information (if necessary).
· Communication:
Act as a primary point of contact for borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and third- party vendors (e.g., title companies, appraisers).
· Compliance Management:
Ensure loans comply with company policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., RESPA, TILA, HMDA).
· Data Entry & Record Keeping:
Enter and maintain accurate data in the loan processing system; ensure all records are up- to-date and secure.
· Problem Resolution:
Identify discrepancies or issues in loan files and coordinate with appropriate parties to resolve them in a timely manner.
· Pipeline Management:
Monitor and manage an active pipeline of loan files to ensure timely processing and closing.
· Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
· Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
· Experience:
2+ years of loan processing experience (consumer mortgage loans required; and commercial loans strongly preferred).
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in loan origination systems (e.g., Wolters Kluwer, C-1 Lending, Vanceo, or similar)
o Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
o Knowledge of federal and state lending regulations
o Knowledge of core systems: Silverlake or Xperience
· Soft Skills:
o Strong organizational and time-management skills
o Superior attention to detail and accuracy
o Excellent verbal and written communication
o Ability to work independently and in a team environment while under pressure
o Excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
