Job Title: Recovery Coach – Young Adult Men’s Sober Living Program Location: Greenville, SC Employment Type: Full-time (Multiple day overnight shifts required) Compensation: 30k-35k/year About Us At Greenville Transitions, we believe that recovery is about more than just sobriety — it’s about building a meaningful life.
We are a structured sober living program for young adult men (ages 18–30), providing a supportive environment that integrates clinical programming, life skills, and peer mentorship.
We are seeking a passionate, dependable, and empathetic Recovery Coach to help guide our residents through early recovery and life transition.
ResponsibilitiesBuild supportive, healthy relationships with residents based on mutual respect and accountability.Model recovery-oriented living, including structure, responsibility, and positive peer interaction.Ensure house policies and procedures are followed (including curfew, chore compliance, meeting attendance, etc.).Support clinical goals: monitor daily progress, encourage participation in therapy and group activities.Document resident interactions, incidents, and daily observations per program standards.Conduct room checks, administer drug screens, and handle crisis situations appropriately.Participate in staff meetings and training courses.Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents.
Qualifications A passion for helping young men grow and succeed.
Lived experience in recovery is a strong plus, especially with sustained sobriety and a commitment to personal growth.
Familiarity with 12-step programs, recovery principles, and the culture of sober living is highly valued.
Ability to build trust and relate authentically to individuals in early recovery.
Certification as a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) is a plus, but not required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Dependable, grounded, and calm under pressure.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
This position involves overnight stays and shared accommodations in a male-only residence.
Due to the nature of the setting and the structure of the program, applicants must be comfortable living and working in this all-male environment.
ScheduleShifts include overnights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis BenefitsFood is provided while on shift.Company vehicle provided while on shift.Cell phone stipend or plan to be provided.Additional training costs are covered by Greenville Transitions.
