Java SDET Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: SDET Java Engineer - Onsite (Full time position)

Primary Skills: Java programming, testing, Selenium, Java & BDD, API Automation, API Testing, TestNG, Maven, GIT, CICD integration.

Location: O’Fallon, Missouri (part of the St. Louis, MO metro area. Prefer local candidates. Must be onsite in the area on Day 1.)

Duration: Fulltime hire ONLY, must be able to be hired directly.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Interview: In-person Interview required.

Work Arrangement: Onsite 5 days a week.

Need strong Java Programming, TestNG, Selenium, Java and BDD, API Automation, API Testing

In-person interviews required

Proficient in Automation Technologies and skills:

Core Java Programming

Selenium

TestNG

Maven

Git (or other source control)

CICD integration (Octopus/Jenkins, etc.)

API Automation

Must have:

7+ years with hands on experience in software development in test automation, concurrent coding skills in Java.

Test automation experience using open-source technologies and/or in-house frameworks – MUST.

Automation framework being used by Citi consists of Maven, TestNg, Cucumber. If not project experience, expecting candidates to have hands-on experience on these skills.

Experience in API testing (SOAP and Microservices).

Experience with test frameworks like Junit, TestNG.

Familiarity with BDD and/or Cucumber.

Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.

Experience with code versioning tools (Git, SVN).

Excellent knowledge SQL and ability to write complex queries to validate.

Following Scrum/Agile development methodology.

Strong application debugging skills.

Experience with Jira or similar Agile process tools.

Experience with using defect management and test management tools.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where resourcefulness, determination, and strong problem-solving skills are necessary for success.

Positive attitude and the ability to complete assigned objectives with minimal supervision.

Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.

Required Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software engineering or a related field. Highly desired.

- Certification:
