Understand and apply HACCP principles for CCP controls.
Implement and maintain food safety procedures with the production team members.
Manage safety-related initiatives, including safety programs and incentives.
Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, ensuring compliance with defined specifications.
Observe machine operations to maintain product quality with less than 0.5% defects.
Monitor the production line for issues such as pile-ups, jams, or missed application of lids, labels, and codes.
Stock and sort items for packaging or filling, replenishing supplies as needed.
Inspect and remove defective raw materials and finished goods.
Read and accurately document process records based on bill of materials and procedures/work instructions.
Understand and follow appropriate SDS for job-related chemicals.
Perform set up and maintenance of various equipment, including but not limited to Simplex, Cozzoli, OnPac, Kapsall, Pack West Capper, White Cap, conveyor systems, glass handling equipment, metal detectors, and Cryovac.
Maintain a high product service level for internal and external customers.
Adjust machine control settings for accuracy and performance against standards.
Stop and/or reset machines during malfunctions, clear jams, and report issues to supervisors/managers.
Regulate machine flow, speed, and/or product temperatures.
Clean or remove damaged materials to prepare raw products for processing.
1st Shift (5:00 AM to 2:00 PM; Monday thru Friday w/some Saturdays)
