QUALITY INSPECTOR
A Quality Inspector, at this level, tests, inspects and measures products at various stages of production and complies data to evaluate the level of quality and reliability to ensure product integrity. The primary goal of a Quality Inspector at Allied Plastics is to work directly along-side production personnel to help maintain the level of quality required by each independent customer of Allied Plastics.
Job Title: Quality Inspector
Pay: $16 - $20 Based on relevant experience
Hours: Two Shift Available
2nd Shift - 3:00PM - 11:30PM
3rd Shift - 11:00PM - 7:30AM (Sunday PM - Friday AM)
QUALITY INSPECTOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
Perform daily and continuous random quality control inspection audits on work in progress and finished goods for each machine within the production facility to ensure that parts conform to any given customer or engineering specifications.
Ability to interpret various engineering drawings, work instructions, and process control sheets to define part acceptance and critical characteristics.
Ability to disposition parts as acceptable or nonconforming based on all documentation and reports available.
Ability to interpret and define various basic customer supplied engineering drawings for dimensional call outs.
Help conduct and complete 1st/last piece inspection reports, capability studies, and any other project specific quality related tasks.
Support production by performing sort, containment, and rework actions when quality issues are detected.
Utilize Allied’s ERP system (Epicor) to process and disposition any nonconforming materials or goods.
Use various equipment including decimal tape measure, caliper, micrometer, ultra-sonic thickness gauge, color spectrophotometer, gloss meter, melt flow, etc.
Able to interact well with management, supervisors, foreman, and all other employees
Keep legible and organized inspection records
Ability to create basic reports using Microsoft Word and Excel as needed
Strong quality focus with great attention to detail
Maintain a clean work area and follow plant safety rules and regulations
Adheres to Allied Plastics plant safety rules and regulations.
QUALITY INSPECTOR QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED
1 year of Quality related experience
1 year of Manufacturing experience preferred
Any plastic experience is a plus
Problem solver and self-motivated
Upbeat attitude
Able to be on your feet 6-8 hours daily
Able to lift or move up to 35 pounds as needed
Comfortable working in manufacturing environment (non-climate controlled)
