Assistant Controller Shelby Twp., MI (Onsite Growth to Controller)
We are assisting a privately held franchise operator based in Shelby Twp., MI, with their search for an Assistant Controller. This is a 100% onsite role with long-term succession into the Controller position.
The company operates ~30 franchise locations and needs a steady, sharp professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Reconciling over 40 bank accounts monthly
Auditing cash flow and deposits across all locations
Supporting or owning payroll and benefits processing
Assisting with reporting, and year-end close
Supporting the Controller on ad hoc financial projects
Ideal Candidate:
3 5+ years of accounting experience
Proficient in Excel and GL processes
Resilient, organized, and willing to take full ownership
Familiarity with payroll, benefits would be a plus
