Our client is seeking an innovative, strategic, and hands-on leader to build and scale sales and operations program from the ground up. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive business growth, optimize logistics operations, and create a high-performing team.

Position Summary:
The General Manager / VP of Sales & Operations will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales and operational strategy to drive business growth and efficiency. This individual must be highly entrepreneurial, able to design and implement scalable processes, and take a proactive approach to building a world-class freight forwarding program. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic vision, sales leadership, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and lead the freight forwarding sales and operations program from inception, ensuring long-term scalability and efficiency.
Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
Oversee operational management, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Establish and nurture high-value partnerships with clients, carriers, and industry stakeholders.
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales and operations team.
Create and manage pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and margin optimization.
Work closely with finance, technology, and operations teams to streamline processes and enhance service offerings.
Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
Implement a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs, goals, and accountability measures.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand presence.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management, with expertise in sales and operations.
Proven track record of building and scaling a successful freight forwarding program.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing cross-functional teams.
Deep understanding of global freight forwarding, logistics pricing, and supply chain dynamics.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to innovate and implement new business solutions.
Experience working with CRM and logistics software to track sales and operational performance.
Bachelor s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA preferred.
