Chief Maintenance Engineer

Exegistics is seeking a Chief Maintenance Engineer in the Brownstown, MI (S. Detroit) area.

Class 1-A Boiler experience / license is a MUST

Commercial Laundry/Linen/Uniform Services experience is a PLUS

JOB TITLE: Chief Maintenance Engineer

Chief Maintenance Engineer ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Directs and coordinates activities of maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of the facility.

· Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.

· Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.

· Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor, materials, equipment, and utilities.

· Reviews new projects and discusses equipment needs and modifications with management to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.

· Directs training and orientation of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.

· Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget.

Chief Maintenance Engineer MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5 years of industry experience

2-3 years of Chief experience preferred

Electrical Knowledge (Relays, 24V Controls)

Machinery Knowledge (Hydraulics, Pneumatics)

Production based equipment knowledge preferred

Experience with pneumatics and electrical (24v controlled voltage)

Boiler experience

Leadership & training experience (Leading a team of up to 20 employees)

Fiscal Responsibility experience (budgeting, finances, etc.)
