Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Accounting Manager to join our team in Traverse City, Michigan. This is a long-term contract position that could turn permanent and offers an excellent opportunity to oversee financial operations and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in accounting systems and financial reporting to ensure accurate and efficient processes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

• Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.

• Implement and maintain accounting software systems to optimize workflow and enhance efficiency.

• Lead auditing processes and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

• Develop and manage budgets, providing insights and recommendations to support organizational goals.

• Utilize tools such as QuickBooks to generate detailed financial reports and dashboards.

• Monitor and improve financial processes, ensuring seamless integration with CRM systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence.

• Proven experience in accounting roles, with expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Proficiency in accounting software system - QuickBooks experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting standards.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to financial data.

• Effective communication and leadership skills to manage and support team members.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
