Structured Cabling Estimator

Seeking an individual for a Structured Cabling Estimator position. This person will be based out of the New Jersey headquarters, with some travel to job sites located in the metro area.

Prospective employees should have at least five years' experience in a telecommunications estimating and engineering position. Candidates without experience in an engineering position will not be considered.

Location: Troy Hills, NJ

Other responsibilities include the following -

Design, integrate and implement telecommunications, data communications structured transport systems and related infrastructure.

Create a detailed design of new structured cabling systems or the integration/modification of a design into an existing environment.

Develop and manage drawings changes and coordinate the structured cabling design with other design disciplines.

Review drawings and specifications developed by others.

Provide on-site inspection and expert technical support on cable installation projects.

Skills required for this position include -

Experience in design and documentation process, professional practices and design standards, and development of budget costs.

Experience in utilizing BICSI, EIA/TIA 568-B standards as well as NEC code requirements.

Ability to prepare and review engineering drawings and various construction documents for cable projects for data/network.

High level of proficiency in using the following software programs - Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).

Must be able to supervise and coordinate multiple projects at one time.

A Bachelor's degree, and experience with AutoCAD are preferred, but not required.
