Heavy Civil Estimator - Job Title

An industry-leading heavy civil construction company is seeking a skilled Estimator with 10+ years of experience in the construction sector, including at least 5 years focused on estimating. The successful candidate will have expertise in areas such as highways, site civil work, dirt and pipe, structural foundations, and utilities. Experience in water/wastewater plants, industrial facilities, and mechanical estimating is a strong plus.

The ideal Estimator will be proficient in HeavyBid, Excel, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office, and comfortable with both hard bids and conceptual estimates. Responsibilities include conducting quantity takeoffs, collaborating with bid teams, preparing detailed proposals, and building strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. A solid understanding of DOT, municipal, and federal bid submissions is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

10+ years in heavy construction; 5+ years in estimating

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience

Experience with HCSS, AGTEK, SmartBid, SharePoint, and DBE compliance is beneficial

Strong organizational and analytical skills with a proactive mindset
