Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco Wireless Network Engineer to join an innovative team in Plano, TX. This role involves installation, configuration, and support for Cisco Wireless Controllers, Access Points, and Cisco ISE infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Wireless Network Technologies, Software-Defined Access (SDA), and Meraki Solutions.& Key Responsibilities:
Provide operations support for Enterprise LAN, Security, Data Center, and Campus Network platforms across North America.
Install, configure, and manage network WLCs, Access Points, and Cisco ISE infrastructure.
Provision and manage network wireless equipment/AP on DNAC.
Implement and integrate Cisco ISE with wired data, wireless infrastructure, and VPN.
Build and analyze ISE rules for compliance with network security policies.
Conduct wireless site surveys, develop site plans, and recommend corrective actions.
Troubleshoot wireless network issues using tools like Ekahau, Wireshark, and Data Dog.
Configure and manage SDA Fabric controllers, SDA LAN, and Cisco DNAC.
Monitor network performance, execute scheduled upgrades, and resolve incidents according to established procedures.
Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases and coordinate with infrastructure teams.& Must-Have Qualifications:
7+ years of experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers (5500s, 9800s) and Cisco Aironet Access Points (9100, 4800, 3800, 2800).
Strong understanding of Cisco ISE infrastructure and AAA protocols.
Hands-on experience with Software-Defined Access (SDA), DNAC, and Meraki Solutions.
Expertise with VLAN, STP, Trunking, EtherChannel, HSRP, VRRP, LACP, and PaGP.
CCNA Wireless Certification required.
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with Ekahau, Wireshark, and Data Dog.
Knowledge of wireless site surveys and performance optimization.
Familiarity with Cisco Router/Switch and Wireless LAN Hardware products.
Ability to work onsite five days a week in Plano, TX.& Preferred Experience:
Advanced skills with Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access) and DNAC with Meraki Solutions.
Familiarity with Thousand Eyes for network monitoring.
Knowledge of wireless security protocols and network compliance
