*Hybrid role 3x/week in Concord, CA*
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting and engineering large-scale applications using OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Kubernetes. This role focuses on designing comprehensive solutions that align with our strategic goals, rather than on day-to-day tasks.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $80 - $92 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure solutions using OCP and Kubernetes for large-scale applications.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and documentation for Kubernetes-based solutions.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on best practices for containerization and orchestration.
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance of applications.
Conduct architectural reviews and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Kubernetes and OCP environments.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
Mentor and train team members on Kubernetes and OCP architecture and engineering practices.
Experience Requirements:
Proven experience as a solution architect or engineer with a focus on OCP and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of containerization, microservices architecture, and cloud-native application design.
Experience with large-scale application deployment and management in Kubernetes environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about complex systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of security best practices in containerized environments.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in Kubernetes or OpenShift are a plus.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
