Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Shop Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles and equipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment where high standards of work, professionalism, and customer satisfaction are expected.

Responsibilities:

From day to day, the Shop Mechanic can perform any combination of the tasks and duties below, depending on the needs of their employer, but not limited to:

Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.

Troubleshoot and identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

Repair and replace components, including engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical systems, and other parts.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and services performed.

Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Work closely with management to provide updates on the progress of repairs and address any concerns.

Keep the shop organized, clean, and equipped with the necessary tools and materials.

Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Assists in maintaining company facilities, both the outside grounds and building interiors.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

A valid California driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this role.

Minimum 5 years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a comparable role or related field.

Proven experience as a mechanic with a strong background in automotive repair, restoration, or heavy equipment.

Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.

Knowledge of both modern and older vehicle systems.

Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs and diagnostics.

Detail-oriented with a passion for quality craftsmanship.

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers.

Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Able to prioritize workload, multitask and be detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to mechanical equipment and varying temperatures.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $22.00 to $34.00 (DOE)

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8-hour day shift

Work Location: In-person, Murrieta, CA
