Salary: $92,000 - $195,000 based on experience & background (Engineer III – Engineer V)

About The Role:

We are seeking an Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) Engineer to join the NASA HSFTIC (Human Space Flight Technical Integration Contract) in support of the NASA Gateway Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO) Project Office and the NASA HALO Site Manager by providing insight and oversight of the HALO AI&T efforts through launch of the HALO module.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform oversight and insight of HALO AI&T efforts, and when delegated, serve as NASA authority for Material/Failure Review Board (MRB/FRB) activities and execution of Government Mandatory Inspection Points (GMIP).

Participate in design reviews, program reviews, test activities, and AI&T activities at the HALO subcontractor facilities and other NASA centers.

Participate in HALO working groups, design reviews, and other technical, schedule, and programmatic forums to gain insight, provide oversight, and provide recommendations and input related to AI&T planning and execution.

Review and provide feedback on key NASA HALO and Gateway products (e.g., System Requirements Document; Test & Verification (T&V) plans; Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reviews; Deviations/Waivers/Exceptions) to confirm AI&T expectations are addressed.

Participate in subcontractor AI&T planning and execution activities to support verification closure activities.

Execute inspections or other activities required to close HALO requirements during AI&T via HALO subcontractor-generated Verification Closure Notices (VCN).

Perform surveillance of subcontractor execution of its Mandatory Inspection Points (MIPs) and Government MIPs (GMIPs).

Disseminate AI&T-related test plans, documents, data, and results to HALO, Gateway, and other program stakeholders for review, in support of HALO verification, certification, and acceptance activities.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

A BS degree or higher in engineering with a minimum of ten (10), fifteen (15), or twenty (20) years of professional experience, performing professional work in design, development, test, operations, or systems integration.

Excellent communication (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination, and presentation skills.

Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.

Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and independently.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

Previous experience with NASA human spaceflight programs.

Previous experience with spacecraft hardware AI&T.

Demonstrated project management experience, especially in human spaceflight.
