Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Kafka Administrator with a minimum of 7 years of experience to manage and optimize our Kafka and Kubernetes environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our data streaming infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:

Kafka Cluster Management:

Install, configure, and maintain Kafka clusters, including operating systems and related software.

Manage Kafka brokers, topics, partitions, retention policies, and access control.

Monitor cluster performance, availability, and health.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kafka cluster performance, memory management, and security.

Kubernetes Management:

Deploy and manage Kafka containers using Kubernetes.

Configure and maintain Kubernetes clusters.

Scale Kafka deployments within Kubernetes.

Monitor the health and performance of the Kubernetes environment.Must-Have Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in Kafka administration.

Proficiency in managing Kafka clusters and Kubernetes deployments.

Strong troubleshooting skills in distributed systems.

Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning.

Familiarity with security best practices in Kafka and Kubernetes environments.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash.
