About Capstan Therapeutics

Capstan is a biotechnology company with a mission to multiply the therapeutic possibilities for patients by developing targeted in vivo RNA technologies. Our proprietary CellSeeker™ tLNP platform technology is composed of novel LNPs conjugated with a recombinant protein binder, such as a monoclonal antibody. tLNPs are designed to deliver payloads, including mRNA or gene editing tools, capable of reprogramming specific cell types in vivo. Capstan’s CellSeeker™ technology has the potential to generate transformative therapies with possible applications across a broad range of disease areas, including autoimmune disorders, oncology, fibrosis, and monogenic blood disorders.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Perform routine assays on development and stability samples in a timely manner, following the corresponding analytical procedures. The assays include, but are not limited to impurities, % encapsulation, particle size, pH.

• Learn and follow good documentation practice and document analytical tests on lab notebooks timely and accurately

• Read, understand, and follow analytical test instructions, SOPs, relevant regulations, and safety policies

• Review and ascertain analytical data to ensure reliable and accurate analytical data generated by lab analysts

• Provide recommendations to improve analytical procedures, SOPs, and/or lab efficiency

• Assist in planning and prioritizing analytical tests accordingly so that the project timelines are met Conduct other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a scientific discipline. Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry preferred.

• Previous academic/industry lab experience with pipetting/handling of materials is a plus

• Able to commit at least 8-10 hours a week during the school year, and up to 20-25 hours during the summer.

• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail

• Motivated to learn and ask questions
