Hiring for an experienced CNC Machinist on swing shift! This is a full time, long term opportunity in a high-quality precision machine shop. This team works on a wide variety of projects in the aerospace, military, semiconductor, and other specialty industries.

**Swing Shift** - Monday - Thursday 4:45pm - 2:30am (8% shift differential)

*day and weekend shift are currently full but could open spots in the future.

**As a Machinist, you will:**

- Interpret Blueprints & Specifications: Use blueprints or job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions, including feed rates, cutting speeds, and operation sequences.

- Tool Preparation & Setup: Select, position, and secure tools in holders (e.g., chuck, collet, or tool post), change tools, and adjust heights and tool compensations to maintain quality output.

- Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect machined products during operations to ensure compliance with specifications using established standards, testing, and calibration methods.

- Operate Machinery: Position tools and workpieces, set feeds, speeds, and cutting depths, and start machines. Monitor operations to verify conformity to specifications.

- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, follow manufacturers' guidelines, and report repair needs.

- Versatile Equipment Operation: Set up and operate auxiliary equipment, such as welding or flame-cutting machinery, as required.

- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to company safety policies, quality system standards, and housekeeping protocols to ensure a secure and organized work environment.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

- Experience setting up and running a 4 or 5 axis CNC Machine. Mill and/or Lathe experience needed.

- Experience interpreting GD&T symbols for blueprints and customer drawings.

- Ability to perform basic shop math; addition, subtraction, division in all units of measure. Understanding of decimals and common fractions.

- Strong computer literacy and familiarity with CNC machine controllers.

- Experience working with a wide variety of materials: this shop works primarily with aluminum but also has some parts made from stainless steel, copper, brass, and plastics.

- ITAR Compliant documents.

Other Skills Information:

- Programmers: Experience with Mastercam and Esprit.

- Machinists: Experience with Bother, HAAS, or Mazak.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
