Project Engineer – Steel Fabrication & Design

Elida, OH Full-Time On-Site $90,000–$100,000/year

As a growing AISC Certified Fabricator, we're looking for a Project Engineer with sharp design skills, fabrication knowledge, and a drive to take projects from the drawing board to the field. What You’ll Do

Design mechanical systems, components, tools, and machinery using SolidWorks

Perform tolerance studies, stress evaluations, and mechanical analyses

Develop 3D models, BOMs, detailed drawings, and technical documentation

Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams across all phases

Support prototype builds, testing, and field-ready troubleshooting

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

3–5 years of experience in fabrication, welding, or machining environments

Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software

Understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Sage), documentation control, and BOMs

Bonus: Experience with FEA tools, automation, or simulation software
