Mechanical Design Engineer – Test Equipment

Location: Burnsville, MN

Type: Long-term Contract

Join a team developing innovative test equipment for aerospace manufacturing and service operations. This role focuses on mechanical design for electro-mechanical test systems, including fixture and cabling design, reverse engineering, and prototype development.

Key Responsibilities:

Design mechanical components for test equipment, including pressurized and electro-mechanical systems

Reverse engineer existing fixtures and equipment

Create detailed documentation using SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

Support production with mechanical troubleshooting and analysis

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in STEM and 3+ years of experience (or equivalent)

Proficient in mechanical design, 3D modeling, and GD&T

Experience with prototyping, CNC, welding, and additive manufacturing

Strong problem-solving and documentation skills

Preferred:

Experience with test equipment and aerospace components
