Description:

Infrastructure Engineer – Azure £75k Hybrid (Central London)

We’re working with a fast-moving financial firm that’s scaling its in-house infrastructure capability. They’ve got a strong foundation in place and a tonne of cloud transformation work ahead and they’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who can get stuck into both support and strategic project work.

Salary: £75,000

Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2–3 days a week in-office)

Tech Stack: Azure, Terraform, VMware, Windows Server, PowerShell

The Role

You'll be joining a small, hands-on team alongside the Head of Infrastructure and CTO. Expect to roll up your sleeves and take ownership across a mix of project work (cloud migration, infra redesign) and business-critical support.

This includes:

Rebuilding a rushed Azure environment using Terraform and infra-as-code best practices

Helping consolidate two data centres into one

Supporting Exchange Online, Windows Server environments, and legacy systems

Automating tasks using PowerShell (or learning it fast!)

This is ideal for someone proactive, curious, and able to work independently - someone who wants to see projects through and chip in wherever needed

What You’ll Need:

Experience with Azure IaaS deployments

Terraform knowledge (infra-as-code experience is a must)

Strong Windows Server admin (GPO, AD, File Services, DNS)

PowerShell scripting or a strong desire to learn

Comfortable supporting users and solving problems end-to-end

Able to work independently and ask smart questions

Bonus Points For:

AWS exposure

VMware familiarity

Puppet-managed Linux experience

Exchange Online / Microsoft Entra

General networking knowledge (IP, DNS)
