Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a highly skilled Agile Process Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Scrum Master to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive experience in both Scrum Master and Project Management roles. This role involves embedding an agile culture within the organization, utilizing a wide range of agile and lean methodologies and frameworks, while remaining methodology agnostic. The Agile Process SME/Scrum Master will engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring effective delivery and governance of digital service projects.
This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Serve as both Scrum Master and Project Manager, leading agile teams to deliver high-quality digital services.
Embed an agile culture using techniques from a wide range of agile and lean methodologies and frameworks, while remaining methodology agnostic.
Showcase relevant tools and techniques such as coaching, advising, workshops, and mentoring to foster agile practices.
Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Develop clear lines of escalation in agreement with senior managers to address issues promptly.
Ensure stakeholders can easily access accurate and current project or program status without disrupting delivery.
Work effectively with other suppliers and agencies to ensure seamless collaboration and integration.
Apply best tools and techniques to team roles, behaviors, structure, and culture, agile ceremonies and practices, knowledge transfer and sharing, program management, cross-team coordination, and overall governance of digital service delivery.
Ensure key metrics and requirements that support the team and delivery are well defined and maintained.
Equip staff with the ability to coach others, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Provide executive coaching on the fundamental considerations of digital service delivery design at the organizational level.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
Extensive experience as both Scrum Master and Project Manager.
Strong expertise in agile and lean methodologies and frameworks.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong understanding of project management principles and agile practices.
US Citizenship
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or similar.
Experience working in a secure environment.
Knowledge of agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $173,500.00.
