Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Duties
Provide technical support for end-users, addressing hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to TCP/IP connectivity, LAN configurations, and Windows Server environments.
Utilize Jira for tracking and managing support tickets, ensuring all issues are documented and resolved efficiently.
Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory, maintaining security protocols.
Analyze system performance and implement necessary improvements to enhance user experience.
Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals.
Collaborate with other IT staff to maintain the overall health of the IT infrastructure.
Qualifications
Proficiency in TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience with software troubleshooting across various operating systems.
Familiarity with computer management tools and practices.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues effectively.
Knowledge of Jira for issue tracking is preferred but not required.
Experience with Active Directory management is a plus.
Understanding of LAN technologies and configurations is beneficial.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
