Geologist (Foreign candidates welcome!)
Job Description:
Collaborate with other geoscience, engineering, business development staff, and contractors to propose, implement, and report geothermal resource assessments.
Design, procure, and manage tasks commissioned to geothermal service providers, and be responsible for the QCD (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) of their services and deliverables.
Conduct evaluations and activities related to thermal characteristics and borehole sampling, geological field mapping, well targeting, geological logging, and investigations during and after well drilling to support investment decision-making.
Investigate the characteristics of prospects, including rock types, alteration, and geothermal surface symptoms.
Mine existing drilling information, including temperature, pressure, flow rate tests, lithofacies, etc., from public sources such as NEDO reports and AIST’s potential database, as well as quasi-public past reports stored in organizations like AIST and proprietary reports from business partners.
Evaluate new site acquisitions and communicate recommendations to managers and executives.
Collect fluid samples for analysis, supervise well logging operations, and assist engineers with flow testing.
Perform other geological tasks as needed.

Salary:
Annual salary: ¥5,000,000 - ¥8,000,000
Salary will be proposed upon offer, considering previous experience, skills, and previous salary.
Probation Period and Training:
Probation period: 3 months
Conditions will be the same as during official employment.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Geology or related fields
5+ years of experience as a geologist
Excellent data analysis and research skills
Knowledge of environmental and other related regulations
Experience using geological software (e.g., Fulcrum) and other data and modeling tools
Strong communication, leadership, and management skills
Proven project management abilities and managerial experience
Organizational and planning skills with a strong sense of urgency and problem-solving ability

9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (1-hour break)
