Senior Database Engineer

Senior Database Engineer needs 6 years of experience with relational databases, ETL, and data warehouse

Senior Database Engineer requires:

• Computer Science or a related field with six years of related experience, or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 4 years of related experience.

• 6 years of experience with relational databases, ETL, and data warehouse.

• Experience with one or more of the following required: Proficient with SQL and PL/SQL programming language.

• Extensive experience with data warehouse architecture, data modeling, design, implementation, and concepts.

• Experience with Oracle databases and greater and SQL Developer; Proficient in designing and developing complex near real-time and/or batch data integration solutions using ODI Studio. Proficient in managing, administering, and modeling using Topology and ODI models.

• Experience with security and permissions within ODI;OAS repository development experience or equivalent

• Enterprise BI tool metadata development experience; and/or Experience developing data services within a SOAP, HTTPS, FTP, or SMTP framework.

• Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.•

Senior Database Engineer duties:

• Partner cross-functionally to provide technical knowledge and leadership guidance during design, development, and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions.

• Review designs from the development teams and audit implementations to assure adherence to standards.

• Perform data modeling and design and develop data solutions, including relational and analytical models.

• Perform ETL designs required for batch processing, including nightly and near-real-time data processing.

• Perform BI designs, including online analytical processing, standard reporting, ad hoc querying, etc.
