Job Title: Punch Press Operator (Automotive Industry)

Location: Mississauga, ON

Shift: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Pay: $19 - $21/hr (based on experience)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Punch Press Operator for one of our automotive clients in Mississauga. The successful candidate must be proficient in operating a punch press according to a set schedule to produce finished parts that meet conformance standards. This role also involves packaging finished parts in line with customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate punch press using progressive or hand transfer dies.

Monitor part quality as per the Quality System and record data on inspection sheets.

Perform quality checks using provided fixtures and conduct visual inspections to ensure parts meet all standards.

Package parts in designated bins, baskets, or skids as per customer specifications.

Refill the lube sprayer tank as required.

Accurately maintain production and downtime data on production sheets.

Ensure a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols.

Adhere to company policies, quality management systems, and safety regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent (required).

Diploma in a technical field (preferred).

1-3 years of experience as a Punch Press Operator, preferably in the automotive industry.

Experience with micrometers and vernier calipers is an asset but not mandatory.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Intermediate computer skills (an asset).

Strong communication skills with fluency in English (written and verbal).

Experience with press control system setup, adjustment, and programming is a strong asset.
