Responsibilities
Tasks
Lay out, cut, fabricate and install upholstery
Tack, glue or sew ornamental trim, braids or buttons
Installs padding and underlays and fastens covering materials to furniture frames.
Covers furniture components with fabric, or other upholstery materials according to design and quality parameters.
Manufacturing the bottom, back, and sides of furniture as per customer’s requirements.
Uses hand tools, power tools, staple guns, and other required equipment to perform the duties.
Trimming the fabric where required to fit around the frames.
