We are hiring for multiple roles within our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Programs in the Town of Webb School District, Old Forge, NY.
JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Substitutes, Assistants, Lead Teachers
PAY: $15.50-$16 per hour (based on role, qualifications, and experience)
The Early Learning Program team is responsible for:
Facilitating engaging, hands-on activities based on the Creative Curriculum, customized to the children's needs and interests.
Creating a safe, healthy, and ultra-fun environment where children can thrive. Be the role model they’ll admire every day.
Connecting with parents and family members via the Brightwheel App to share updates and those special moments.
Staying informed by following OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids Program policies, and the host school’s regulations.
Encouraging positive adult-child interactions using the CLASS method to foster an environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Promoting the health, safety, and well-being of the classroom and center community by adhering to ECERS/ITERS standards.
Lead Teacher positions may also include responsibilities such as:
Crafting Adventures: Design and implement weekly lesson plans that support children's development across all domains using our curriculum.
Tracking Progress: Continuously assess children’s development and host regular parent conferences to review their progress, needs, and interests.
Smooth Transitions: Help guide families through the transitions from toddler to preschool and from preschool to kindergarten, ensuring that every child feels supported.
Record Keeping: Keep detailed, up-to-date family and agency records, including attendance and meal logs.
Team Support: Ensure Assistants are updated on classroom and program changes and provide necessary training and guidance.
Mentoring Moments: Offer functional training and support to staff, interns, substitutes, and volunteers, helping them succeed in their roles.
Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities offered by Healthy Kids because we’re committed to your growth.
Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You are 18 years or older and have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
While 1 year of experience working with children under 13 is preferred, it's not required—we value potential and enthusiasm!
Prepare to pass a background check, including fingerprinting, references, SEL & SCR through the NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
You’ve received medical clearance from your doctor to perform job duties and are free of communicable diseases, including TB.
You have a friendly, approachable demeanor and strong people skills, whether working with children, parents, or team members. You're professional, reliable, and punctual.
You're able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry (up to 50 lbs.) to keep up with active kids!
