We are currently hiring Group Teacher Substitutes for our Before/After Care Program at Gertrude C. Folwell in Mount Holly, NJ. We’re looking for someone who loves working with children and is passionate about creating an environment where kids can flourish.

JOB STATUS: Per Diem, Non-Exempt

PAY RATE: $15.49-17 per hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring Compliance: Make sure staff and the program follow NJ guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and rules set by our host school.

Bringing the Fun: Lead engaging, hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Way Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Plus, don’t forget about assisting with homework – you’ll be their ultimate homework hero!

Be a Role Model: Foster a safe, healthy, and fun environment where kids can thrive. Be the role model they will admire every single day.

Managing Like a Pro: Help the Site Director with management tasks like keeping accurate attendance and registration records, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels to maintain smooth operations. You will be the designated leader when the Site Director is not present.

Maintaining Communication: Stay connected with parents and family members through the Playground App.

Teamwork: Communicate clearly and regularly with the Site Director to keep them informed of daily events and address any issues promptly. By collaborating as a team, we will provide the highest quality of care, create a positive work atmosphere, and tackle any challenges together.

Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree in Child Development or Child Development Certificate OR Six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and Nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to child growth or development

QUALIFICATIONS:

Be ready for a background check, including fingerprinting, references, SEL & SCR.

You’re cleared by your doctor to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including TB.

You’re friendly, warm, and upbeat. You excel in people skills, whether interacting with children, parents, or teammates.

You’re professional, dependable, and always on time.

You’re prepared to bend, stretch, lift, and carry (up to 50 lbs.) to keep up with energetic kids!
