Location: Mississauga, ON

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Pay: $19/hr + $1/hr attendance bonus

Career1, a leading staffing agency, is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our client's manufacturing team as a Shipping and Receiving (SR) Assistant/Crating - Material Handler. This role requires a responsible professional with a strong sense of accountability and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage inbound and outbound shipping, both domestic and international, coordinating with various transportation companies and carriers.

Use shipping software to track, check, prioritize, and route orders.

Oversee essential shipping documents such as pick slips, bills of lading, and compliance documentation.

Ensure the flow of packages from preparation to shipment while inspecting labels and barcodes.

Collaborate with supervisors to optimize shipping and receiving processes.

Resolve shipping issues and ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.

Assist in evaluating new packaging materials and systems.

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely within the facility.

Construct wooden crates for boilers and water heaters.

Maintain motorized vehicle trainer certification and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid forklift license.

Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations.

Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
