Position Summary:
The Department of Medicine and the Division of Cardiology at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine (Chicago) are seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist Faculty.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ideal candidates must have completed an ACGME-accredited cardiology fellowship program and hold board-certification (or be board-eligible) in cardiology. A focus on clinical echocardiography is required and experience providing echocardiographic imaging support for an interventional structural heart program is desirable.
Additional clinical responsibilities will include supporting the inpatient cardiology service and the outpatient cardiology clinic along with significant opportunities for resident and fellow education as well as patient care for a traditionally under served population. This position will support the University of Illinois Chicago/UI Health care system and also have opportunities to support the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center.
As an academic faculty member, resident and fellow education is an integral component of the position. The individual should have the clinical, scholarly, educational, and personal skills to contribute to an active academic division. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
