Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Student Records Specialist on the Cocoa Campus in Cocoa, Florida.

The Student Records Specialist will process a variety of complex student records related to grades, withdrawals, enrollment verification, college transcripts, and student record updates with a focus on critical thinking, strict attention to detail and accurate data entry. This position will also provide superior customer service when answering phones and emails. In addition, the Student Records Specialist will perform ongoing student record maintenance and record audits to ensure accuracy, integrity and compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditor standards and College policies and procedures.

The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered:

Associates degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Minimum of two years of records maintenance experience, preferably in an educational institution.

Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Proficiency with database reporting tools, video-conferencing and scanning software preferred.

Practical knowledge and skills in using a software platform (i.e., Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.) designed to manage student data within an educational institution preferred.

Possess strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in an ever-changing environment while consistently meeting critical deadlines.

Works well under pressure - forward thinking, student-centered and solution-oriented.

Exercise adaptability to handle changes in procedures, policies, organizational structures, and emerging issues.

Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy, sound problem-solving skills, flexibility and the ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty, using knowledge and logic to resolve issues and respond to complex requests.

Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s license required. For individuals unable to obtain a driver’s license, a valid Florida ID is required. Employees and/ or volunteers unable to obtain a Florida driver’s license, will not be allowed to drive any college vehicle, golf cart or any other motorized vehicle on college property.

This position will require successful fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fee (currently $37.25). This fingerprinting fee ($37.25) is non-refundable.

*High School Diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.

Minimum physical qualifications:

Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Ability to access, input and retrieve information and/or data from a computer.

Works inside in an office environment.

The annual salary is $32,565.67. Successful internal candidates for external job postings should be aware that their current salary does not transfer to the new position. Salary will be as advertised in the job announcement. Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.
