Our organization is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. Responsibilities:
Take patient histories and develop medical status reports Perform physical examinations Interpret and evaluate patient data Order or perform diagnostic procedures Order or perform therapeutic procedures
Provide instructions regarding patient care, disease prevention, and health promotion
Create and maintain appropriate patient records
Prescribe, administer, and dispense legend drugs and medical devices in accordance with Nursing Board regulations and those regulations outlined by the Maryland Board of Medicine and/or Virginia Board of Medicine, if needed.
N.P.s who have been delegated the authority to prescribe controlled substances shall maintain a separate addendum to the delegation form which lists all schedules and categories of controlled substances which the N.P. has the authority to prescribe. This addendum shall be maintained with the supervising physician-physician assistant agreement, and the delegation form at the address of record.
For N.P.s not delegated prescribing authority, administering legend drugs and medical devices following prospective review for each patient by and upon direction of the supervising physician.
Initiate evaluation and treatment procedures essential to providing an appropriate response to emergency situations.
Perform and sign the documentation for Department of Transportation and Department of Labor exams
Perform and sign the documentation for school bus driver exams Request diagnostic or therapeutic radiologic procedures (including but not limited to x-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound, nuclear imaging studies)
Other- Any/all services needed to treat injured federal workers
