Fire Suppression Design Engineer

-Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software applications, adhering to local, national, and manufacturer requirements.

-Direct contractors in the proper installation and operation of systems.

-Survey job sites to ensure proper system design and installation.

-Read, review, and implement customer-supplied project specifications.

-Attend manufacturer training classes and other continued education training

-Create project-specific operation and maintenance manuals.

-Update existing drawings.

-Assist office staff with engineering-related tasks such as process improvement.

-Assist with system inspection and maintenance (if needed).

-Assist in system startups and commissioning (if needed).

Qualifications:

-Previous experience in the Fire Protection Industry is required

-Previous experience as a Design Engineer

-Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting.

-Knowledge and efficient use of 3D design software.

-Understanding of MS Office applications.

-Good organizational skills.

-Ability to communicate technical information.

-Desire to learn industry standards.

-Willingness to study for and obtain NICET certification.
