Job Overview:
The Data Entry Clerk will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and organization of patient data, appointment schedules, billing records, and other essential information. This position requires high attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to supporting the smooth operation of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and update patient demographics, insurance information, and medical records in our system.
Process and maintain accurate billing and appointment scheduling data.
Verify data accuracy and resolve any discrepancies in collaboration with other departments.
Ensure all patient records comply with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Assist with preparing reports for internal use.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security standards.
Support administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, and record organization.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in medical billing, coding, or data management is a plus.
Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
