Job Title: IT Data Warehousing Analyst
Location: Remote (Client location: Troy, MI)

Job Summary:
The IT Data Warehousing Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to support business decisions. This role involves identifying opportunities for data reuse, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve data flow issues. The Analyst will also work with business analysts and project teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure accurate data reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, analyze, and summarize data to inform business decisions.
Identify opportunities to reuse data across the enterprise and validate data sources.
Work with vendors, business analysts, and project teams to resolve data-related issues.
Ensure data integrity by performing data profiling and validation.
Lead meetings to gather business requirements and explore potential solutions.
Detect patterns in data and provide simple reports to assist in decision-making.
Create conceptual data models, data dictionaries, and volume estimates.
Collaborate with IT teams, departments, and vendors to define needs and implement solutions.
Develop business specifications and provide input into system modifications.
Design and execute test plans to verify that client requirements are met.
Assist with problem resolution and provide second-level escalation support for production issues.
Provide time estimates for project-related tasks and ensure timely delivery of functional artifacts.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data warehousing or a similar role.
Strong understanding of HIPAA data privacy and security requirements.
Proficient in SQL/PL SQL, with deep expertise in Oracle databases.
Experience with Data Warehouse methodologies (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake, Bill Inmon, Ralph Kimball).
Proven experience in data mart environments and data profiling/validation.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
Familiarity with Healthcare IT (EDI transactions, Medicare, Medicaid, ACA) is a plus.
Experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience with UNIX operating systems, FACETS, IKA, PEGA, and Windows environments.
3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting.
Experience with software engineering (design, build, test, debugging).
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
Certifications:
Preferred: HIPAA certification.
Location: This position is remote, but candidates must be able to work from the Health Alliance Plan's Troy, MI office if needed.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required, but this role is primarily remote.
