Description
Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients.
Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods.
Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
Cook food in a timely and presentable manner • Inform wait staff about daily specials - Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers
Monitor food stock and place orders
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
Experience
Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers, Pizza oven, Shawarma presser, fufu maker etc)
Have a great team work ethic
Have a good understanding of kitchen basics, following recipes and working in a busy environment
Passion for people and a great attitude
Must Have
Government issued ID
Work experience in a restaurant
