Maintenance Mechanic - Days - Barrie

Industrial Millwright – Days – Permanent – up to $42.26/hr to start

LOCATION: Barrie, Ontario

Qualifications:

* Red Seal Millwright license (433A) ; may consider no license IF experience is relevant

* Minimum 5 years of experience working with large machinery

* Experience with stamping presses; teardown and rebuild of presses an asset

* Experience with troubleshooting, repair, welding & fabrication

* Good problem solving skills and ability to detect equipment malfunctions

* Ability to repair or fabricate and replace defective parts

* Capable of multitasking

* Working accurately and with attention to detail

* Able to exercise independent judgement and make decisions within established guidelines

* Good organizational skills

* Good interpersonal and communication skills - both written and oral

* Able to work with others

* Leadership skills and experience as a team lead an asset

* Positive attitude and team player

* Computer literate - MS Office

* Willing and able to work assigned shift and overtime as required

Duties:

• Press inspection and troubleshooting

• Press disassembly & assembly

• Repairs – welding and fabrication

• New controls installation

• Hydraulic / pump replacements and lubing systems

• Press upgrading

• Install of safety guards

• Emergency breakdown support
