POSITION OVERVIEW:
We're seeking a dynamic Director of Sales + Marketing to lead our revenue growth strategy and oversee our network of BGV brand ambassadors. This role will drive sales excellence while maintaining our mission of empowering Black women's health through our high-quality supplement line and community-focused initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Sales Leadership & Strategy*
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth while maintaining our commitment to community health
- Lead and expand our network of hundreds of BGV brand ambassadors, ensuring they effectively communicate our mission and product benefits
- Create and implement ambassador training programs focusing on our core health initiatives and product knowledge
- Establish sales targets and KPIs aligned with our mission of addressing critical health disparities in the Black community
*Ambassador Program Management*
- Design and execute ambassador activation strategies that authentically represent our brand values
- Develop training materials about key health issues affecting Black women, including vitamin D deficiency, iron deficiency, heart health, and maternal health
- Create incentive programs that reward both sales performance and community impact
- Implement systems to track ambassador performance and engagement
*Business Development*
- Identify and pursue strategic partnerships that align with our mission
- Expand our presence in key markets and communities
- Develop relationships with healthcare professionals, wellness centers, and community organizations
- Build upon our existing partnerships, such as our role as the official vitamin sponsor of the Howard Women's Basketball team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in health, wellness, or consumer goods
- Proven track record of managing and scaling ambassador or influencer programs
- Experience in direct-to-consumer sales and community-based marketing
- Strong understanding of the health and wellness industry
- Background in working with diverse communities
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AMBASSADOR PROGRAM:
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of BGV brand ambassadors
- Create engaging educational content about our supplement line and its specific benefits for Black women's health
- Develop ambassador toolkits and resources for community outreach
- Monitor ambassador performance and provide coaching for improvement
- Organize ambassador events and recognition programs
- Ensure ambassadors are well-versed in our community initiatives and scholarship programs
This remote position offers the flexibility to be based in either Washington DC or Atlanta, GA. While you'll primarily work remotely, please note that some travel will be required for industry events, client meetings, and occasional team meetings to ensure collaboration and maintain strong relationships with our partners and community.
