Salary: $160k-$180k

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer for our client to support operations at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA. The ideal candidate will apply a broad range of theoretical and practical systems engineering knowledge to support the acquisition process and ensure program success.

Key Responsibilities:

Review program portfolios to assess and recommend alternative plans, process improvements, and technical baselines.

Evaluate systems engineering programs and test results to ensure compliance with program specifications.

Develop and prepare technical documents that define, specify, and recommend system and subsystem characteristics.

Create management reports and technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective actions using engineering economy principles.

Perform validation of systems, including the development of criteria and procedures to analyze results.

Provide engineering support, technical assistance, and training across various program phases, including acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, and operations oversight.

Contribute to risk management activities following Air Force SEAM processes.

Conduct trade space analysis, technology roadmap assessments, and cost-versus-capability trade-offs to support system development.

Utilize Set-Based Design, Multi-Objective Decision Analysis (MODA), and other engineering methodologies for concept development.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Advanced Engineering degree required.

Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, particularly in the DoD acquisition process.

Experience in problem definition, trade space analysis, and technology roadmap development.

Ability to analyze major engineering systems and provide technical recommendations.

Strong technical writing and communication skills to prepare documentation, reports, and briefings for leadership.
