About the Role
Central Texas Recruiting has a client seeking a Project Manager / Interior Designer to oversee and coordinate commercial furniture and interior design projects. This role involves managing client relationships, project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination
️ Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
️ Plan, coordinate, and oversee all tasks, critical dates, and project administration
️ Ensure site measurements, specifications, and drawings are accurate
️ Review production information and audit furniture specifications before order entry
️ Organize project schedules and coordinate with installation teams and vendors
️ Submit and manage change orders in collaboration with the Interior Designer
Interior Design & Furniture Solutions
️ Work closely with construction, millwork, power, and network teams to ensure seamless execution
️ Ensure furniture installations meet specifications and quality standards
️ Provide expert consultation on commercial design solutions for clients
️ Manage and review vendor acknowledgments for accuracy and lead times
Client Relations & Communication
️ Maintain key project documentation, including revisions and approvals
️ Provide timely, formal written communications throughout all project phases
️ Obtain customer approvals and sign-offs at project completion
️ Ensure a positive client experience through professional service and proactive communication
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Skills
️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
️ Strong organizational and multitasking skills
️ Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication
️ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience & Industry Knowledge
️ 5+ years of Project Management experience
️ Commercial furniture dealership experience required
️ Strong Interior Design background (Commercial design preferred)
️ Familiarity with major furniture brands (Knoll, Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, etc.)
️ Experience in manufacturing or furniture/home furnishings industry preferred
️ Orlando-based with onsite work required
