Hiring a Housekeeping Room Attendant
Qualification:
- No formal education is required, but completion of secondary is preferred.
- Completion of relevant hospitality diploma/certificate course is an asset.
- Having housekeeping experience in hospitality industry is an asset, but not required.
(Ongoing training will be provided.)
- Proficient in English is required.
Duties:
- Clean rooms, make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels and toiletries
- Sweep, wash, wax and polish floors
- Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Clean public areas including hallways, operating rooms and other hospital areas
- Wash windows, walls and ceilings
- Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies
- Report and store lost and found items
Working hours, Wage & Benefits:
- 30 hours per week (full time and permanent position), A full-time Housekeeping Room Attendant is preferred, but applicant interested in part-time work will also be considered.
- $18.00 per hour
- 4% vacation pay or 10 days of paid vacation per year
