SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Manager for its automotive client in Livonia, MI. The person will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of all manufacturing facilities and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Evaluate the current state of facilities and equipment.

· Recommend equipment specifications, modifications and/or upgrades to improve efficiency, safety, and quality.

· Oversee the installation of new equipment and facility modifications.

· Conduct performance evaluations and provide training opportunities to enhance team skills.

· Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.

· Ensure timely and effective maintenance of equipment and facilities.

· Manage repair and maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

· Maintain safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries.

· Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and safety inspections.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other engineering discipline required.

· 10+ years of experience with manufacturing operations, and with process and systems development.

· Experience in managing budgets and negotiating contractor costs.

· Excellent leadership and team management skills, with proven experience leading teams of 10 – 30 direct reports required.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
