Quality Assurance Analyst – for IT department of global law firm in Washington, DC. *This is a hybrid role with some in office work. This role is responsible for ensuring the technology solutions delivered meet firm standards. The analyst will create test procedures and implement standard protocols used to measure success. The Analyst collaborates with cross functional technical and nontechnical stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of IT solution delivery, ensuring requirements are identified and solutions tested and delivered to meet quality standards identified. Ideal candidate has technical competence, relentless customer focus, communication skills, with a desire to prevent/resolve issues.

**Ideal candidate can write test plans, test cases, maintain/update those test cases, execute manual test cases across different applications, lead different testing cycles such as Smoke, Regression, UAT. They should be comfortable engaging with IT and business stakeholders, project stakeholders, and application owners. Experience building out a QA/Testing framework almost from scratch required. Candidates with Jira and manual testing experience/working in a Waterfall environment are ideal.

Duties include: Develops/enforces framework, process/standards for technical and non-technical review/testing/validation of technology solutions. Identifies measurements and testing standards to existing software throughout the development life cycle. Identifies quality standards during testing phases, ensures compliance. Establishes supporting artifacts for testing. Reviews projects for defects/errors and tracks progress on defect resolution. Coordinates testing of new solutions. Communicates test progress, results, and information to project stakeholders and IT/Firm leadership. Assists with managing quality assurance and testing aspects of projects and interdependencies. Conducts research on leading test management practices and technologies landscape justifying purchasing decisions and optimization.

Position Requirements: College degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Technical certification(s) are preferred. At least five years of relevant experience, ideally in a large Law Firm. Proven success with system testing metrics, best practices and methodologies. Demonstrated experience with release management. Experience with adhoc query programs, automated testing tools and reporting software. Knowledgeable of various SDLC/Project Management methodologies such as waterfall, agile. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate data into insights. Salary range is $86,000 - $121,000
