Job Summary:

An Instrument Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and configure instrumentation systems.

Calibrate and troubleshoot instrumentation devices and control systems.

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on instrumentation equipment.

Document and maintain records of instrumentation systems and maintenance activities.

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure optimal performance of instrumentation systems.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Conduct tests and measurements to identify issues and ensure accurate readings.

Qualifications:

Technical diploma or degree in instrumentation, electronics, or a related field.

Experience in instrumentation and control systems.

Knowledge of process control systems, PLCs, and DCS.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
