CNC Operators (3rd Shift)

Required immediately, our local Kent shop is seeking a Full-Time CNC OPERATOR (3rd Shift) 9pm-5am

POSITION SUMMARY

Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Desired Skills & Experience:

High school diploma or GED

Experience with CNC mills, lathes or routers a plus but not required

Experience in a similar role with polishing on natural stone and engineered quartz a plus.

Must be hard working, motivated, well organized and task oriented.

Basic computer skills, MS Office

Strong communication (both written and verbal)

Ability to read units of measurement

Has or can obtain fork lift operator’s certificate

Strong attention to detail.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Must have thorough knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop math and inspection techniques.

Possess a valid driver's license and a clear criminal record check

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.

Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.

Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Remove completed work pieces from equipment or work tables, using hand tools or mechanical lifters.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Must be hard working, motivated, well organized and task oriented.

Strong attention to detail and possess good judgment.

Must have good attendance.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to safely lift objects in excess of 50lbs

Work requires consistent bending and squatting

(9pm-5am)
