Unit Head - Manufaturing

Major Responsibilities

Overall responsibility of Manufacturing Operations (Tool Maintenance, Plant & Machine Maintenance, Molding, SPMs, Value Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Assembly operations, Paint shop, Quality Assurance and Finance).

To study the current levels of manufacturing efficiency in all areas related to key parameters of manufacturing like Quality, Cost, Delivery and Efficiency and to take steps for continuous improvement.

To ensure the requisite resources like availability of Raw material, machine uptime, work force etc. are in place.

To ensure the adherence of customer schedules in terms of launch of new programs & delivery of the product.

To ensure the best systems like TS, QMS, Customer specific standards and Lean manufacturing principles are applied to achieve excellence in Manufacturing.

To ensure all the Plant machinery, equipment and tools are maintained to the highest standards and derive the maximum efficiency.

To ensure effective implementation of C2 A2C, Energy conservation, QC, Flash free moulds, Low cost automation etc.

To implement and monitor effective calibration system for all the Safety and Quality related equipment.

To ensure the Quality Assurance techniques are constantly upgraded to meet the customer expectation of product performance in all the supplies.

Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing and quality standards and procedures are adhered

Knowledge, Skills & Education

Qualification

Engineering Graduate from renowned institution

Experience

15~20 Years (majority of them in Manufacturing shop floor experience /

Moulding / Paint operations)

Open-Mature Individual

Functional know-how

Good knowledge of plastic moulding operations / painting

Knowledge of ERP & other software

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems / Customer Specific Systems

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methods

Person should be (Competencies Required)

Good communication and negotiation skills

Good in Man-management

Good planning & Execution skill
