We're looking for a Director of Sales to act as a key member in our sales organization in selling our state-of-the-art learning management SaaS solution to all areas of State and Local Governments and Private Industry. At a minimum, the ideal candidate will have a proven ability to sell SaaS software solutions Government agencies.

This position is full-time and via virtual office. Travel requirements are minimal (less than 10% expected).

In this role you will...

Close deals with State and Local Government and Corporate customers

Contribute significantly to the proposal process, both writing and assuming overall ownership for proposal completeness and delivery

Build pipeline in collaboration with Meridian’s Business Development Consultants (BDCs) and coordinate inbound/outbound lead generation

Define and implement sales plans that align with Meridian’s growth objectives

Collaborate with Marketing, BDCs, and Solution Consultants to keep our messaging to prospective customers up to date

Work with our Solutions Consulting, Product, Services and Support teams to ensure demonstrations and proposals are relevant and compelling

Manage enterprise sales cycles

Build, manage, and report pipeline and forecasts

Develop and deliver compelling presentations

Develop relationships with prospects, customers, and partners

Meet and exceed sales quotas

Requirements

5+ years in SaaS software sales to Government organizations

10+ years overall sales experience, preferably selling SaaS software solutions

Experience in selling learning technologies or solutions strongly preferred

Proven successful experience managing a matrixed opportunity team by setting goals, giving feedback, and holding the team accountable for results

Excellent written and communication skills

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Experienced using Salesforce for contact and opportunity management

In-depth knowledge of public sector contracting and procurement vehicles

Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills

Exceptional customer service skills (responsive, reliable, interpersonal)

Excellent organization and problem-solving skills

Detailed oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness

The compensation for this position includes a base salary of $135,000 to $165,000 per year and OTE of $250,000 plus, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for a benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, a 401(k) Plan and Company Match, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage, Basic Life Insurance, 7 Paid Holidays and Flexible Paid Time Off.
